I decided that there has to be more ways to make money this way. I looked long and hard and found at least 10 sites like Amazon Mechanical Turk that pay more money. If you’re going to be working from home, you might as well make money doing it.

Working from home doesn’t mean you should make less money. There are tons of places you can work and get paid what you’re worth!

Some people like to call MTurk a backup egg. You know, it’s not their main income but they still have it as a backup.

Something to know about MTurk is that they don’t do bank transfers outside of the USA, so this could be hard if you don’t live in this country Which brings you to another reason to look for a site like MTurk.

Sites Like Mechanical Turk That Pay More

I like to have many eggs in my work from home basket. You truly never know when a client will fall off the face of the earth and you need to be prepared. I like doing this type of work because you can make good money doing it and it doesn’t require a large time commitment. This type of work is great if you’re a parent and just need to make extra money.

Microworkers

I have a lot of friends who have worked for Microworkers and they seem to love it. This website has various tasks available for people like you and me to do. You might spend time engaging on certain sites, you might also spend time doing various tasks.

The pay is through PayPal, but since you’re getting paid from another country, you will have to follow the instructions to get paid. Don’t worry, it’s really easy.

You can expect to make a small amount of money from here, but it’s still a way you can make money, which is great.

I have heard great things about this task site as well. Many people say it has a lot of work and you can rely on it for a decent income. Hey, it may be worth checking out!

Clickworker

If you’ve been around the work from home world for a while, then you may know about Clickworker. This website is a short task website. You sign up and then in order to get paid, you choose various tasks and complete them.

It’s said that people who work for Clickworker make anywhere from $9 to $10 an hour. That’s pretty good for working from home. Clickworker is also based on the tasks that you do, so that means your hourly rate can vary.

You will get paid weekly through PayPal. So make sure you pay attention to how things are happening with Clickworker because they are always subject to change.

I’ve worked on this website as a task worker and I would say that the work is easy and the pay is decent.

Crowdflower

Another place that you can find work, just like MTurk is Crowdflower. This website has raised in its popularity. This website has their work done through various platforms. Some of the tasks include organization, surveys, and other short types of work.

I would advise you to sign up for Crowdflower, even though it’s not the platform that has the most work. However, when you have several different types of these jobs on your radar and in your “egg basket” you can make more money from home.

I don’t know anyone that works for this website, so if you find success with it, you will need to let us know!

OneSpace

If you’re still looking for a website that you can work for, like Mturk, then you may want to check out OneSpace. This website allows you to do small tasks for pay as well. You get paid directly on PayPal, which works out great.

Some of the tasks vary, so hopefully, you do not mind doing different kinds of tasks. I would apply to this website, plus all the other websites. Task work is easy, fun, and doesn’t require much effort. You can still make money without trying too hard.

I do like that OneSpace has openings for graphic designers, accounting writers, and even accounting editors. Maybe you will be able to take those small task jobs one step further.

Online Jobs Similar to Mechanical Turk

I listed some websites that are similar to Amazon Mechanical Turk, but believe it or not, there are even more websites out there that will pay you. The type of work that you will do varies, but it’s worth signing up for all of them.

Swagbucks!

Hey, who said that short tasks had to be classified into a separate category. Swagbucks is a short task website that allows you to make money from doing short tasks. The only thing is that you’re doing these small tasks for gift cards, so keep that in mind.

Fiverr

Making $5 per task may not sound like much money, but it’s an excellent way to make money! You will simply sign up and from there, you can start making money. While everything starts at $5, you can make more money per order as time goes on. I’d say if you need to make a little extra money per task, then this is the way to go.

FigureEight

I don’t know why, but the name of this website is so intriguing. All you need is a computer and the Internet and you can start making money from home. The type of work you will be doing is simple, you will be doing tasks and making money. I don’t think that making money gets any easier than this.

Field Agent

Want to complete small tasks and get paid for it? That’s where Field Agent comes in! Only with Field Agent, all you need is your phone. I mean, it doesn’t get much simpler than that for when it comes to making money. You get to help retailers and making money at the same time. This sounds like a win-win to me!

Task Rabbit

If you’ve been around the online space for a while, then I know you have heard of Taskrabbit. This is a simple way to make money from home, all while enjoying what you do. It’s like Amazon Turk in the way that you’re doing small tasks. Plus, you can make a nice little income. While you do have to leave your home for these tasks, you can make good money doing so.

REV

I have a friend that works for REV and she makes good money. You won’t see it say that it’s a short task website, but you can make good money from this website doing small tasks. You can do tasks like transcription, translator, subtitler, and so on. Sounds like easy money to me, if you’re good at this sort of thing.

Fancy Hands

Man, Fancy Hands has been around forever and is rated as a good company to work for. You basically work as a virtual assistant and complete different tasks for clients. You do have to be a US-based worker, so this won’t work for people who live outside of the USA. If you have what it takes, then you should sign up to work for this company.

Humantic

Another task site that has been around for forever is Humantic. This type of work is called reviews though, so you will really need to like this type of work in order to really get into it. Some people report that they love working for HUmantic, so it may just be what you need to make some extra money.

What You Should Know About Task Sites

If you’re going to do thee tasks sites for money, there are some things that you should know about them. Task sites won’t help you become a billionaire, but they are great eggs to have in your work from home basket. If you know anything about working from home, you should know that you should never rely on just one job for income.

Since money is not guaranteed from these jobs, you want to rely on several different incomes, not just one. Here is what you should know about these task sites.

The pay is small – You do not get paid hourly by these websites, they pay you by the task. However, if you do enough tasks per hour, you should be able to make a decent hourly wage. Most of the time, you will be able to make $9-$10 per hour using these task sites.

Time yourself- In order to keep yourself accountable with time, make sure you set a timer. Otherwise, you may be spending a lot of time on something that isn’t worth it. I like to time myself to keep my time accountable.

Sign up for many task sites – The great thing about task sites is that you don’t have to sign up for just one, you can sign up for many! Sign up for every task site that you can because not all of them will have to work at the same time. If one website is dry, you can run over to the next one and grab work.

Different requirements – Although you may sign up for these sites and wonder about whether or not they will work for you, keep in mind that each one has different requirements. So, not they may not all work for you. If you don’t like one of the sites, after you sign up, you don’t have to keep doing the work.

So, if you’re looking for Amazon Turk alternatives, I would say that you have some good selections. Task sites aren’t cut and dry, a lot of them have meat to them. You won’t be stuck doing meaningless tasks, I promise.

Which of these sites like Amazon Mechanical Turk, do you think you’ll like the most? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
